Since its founding in November 1987, the Graduate School of Information Science (GSIS) at Soongsil University (SSU) has steadfastly devoted itself to advancing the nation’s development into a globally distinguished information society. Over the past three decades, more than 2,000 domestic graduates and 190 Soongsil-KOICA alumni across 52 nations have demonstrated exemplary leadership and service throughout the information industry. Their achievements have played a pivotal role in elevating the Republic of Korea’s stature as a preeminent global IT powerhouse.
As humanity enters the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution—an age in which intelligent information technologies fundamentally transform political structures, economic systems, and social and cultural paradigms—Soongsil University remains resolutely committed to assuming a leadership role in this epochal transition.
